I’ve always loved and painted landscapes, usually as a view through a window. Since we moved to a field in the middle of the Willamette valley, the colors in sky and cloud display every day has fueled new inspiration, and I’ve started painting just the landscape. I am still painting my still life with a view, but I find painting landscapes fun and requires less planning and more just painting. I also joined a plein aire painting group and in the summer, sometimes you can catch me painting in a field or river bank somewhere in Oregon.
